How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different, but here are some guidelines. Phobias can usually be released in a couple of sessions and many emotional, health and pain issues can be resolved in 4 to 6 sessions. Chronic anxiety and life long issues require more sessions, but are fully resolvable. For personal development or coaching we suggest starting with 6 sessions and for bereavement we recommend 12 sessions of Holistic Counselling. We also offer open-ended Holistic Counselling with unlimited time for personal reflection. Why am I still affected by something that happened long ago?
When you’re reminded of a difficult past event, even unconsciously, it brings the memory of how you felt in your body, which may feel unsafe, and the conclusions you made about it, which may be wrong. This can make you inexplicably feel bad and react in inappropriate or unhelpful ways. Hypnosis and EFT allow you to release and change these associations.
Will I remember what happens while I’m hypnotised?
Yes. Hypnosis is only a natural state of heightened relaxation and you are fully aware of what’s happening.
Why do I remember things better after Hypnosis or EFT?
After both Hypnosis or EFT you may remember events better, because relaxation releases the difficult feelings associated with memories making them more accessible - and non-traumatic!
